Early Elamite Army (3000 BC – 2100 BC). A brief text and photo has been posted to the blog for the Elamites. dbagora.blogspot.nl/2018/01/early-elamite-army-3000-bc-2100-bc.html
Of the original collection of figures that needed refurbishing only three chariots and four Libyan archers remain. The latter will become chariot crew for two LCh which will complete the I/7b Early Libyan sub-list leaving one lone chariot. I think I may have a use for that one.

Look good and I am loving those perspex bases for the bushes to let you add them to different terrain.
Think I will get me some of those sorted out.

The initial marsh seemed thin (12mm) so adding more of Leadbear's Tufts (6mm) did thicken each piece. Change the colour of the template to green and you have boggy ground.

So after taking names and kicking posteriors the Egyptians ran into an opponent with more BD.
And are a bit short of AX or PS to play the terrain game well.
As I have brought out the Chariot OMK figs to slip[ in the queue and additionally picked up an Essex OMK RMA army box off TMP (couldn't resist the price) that is something I'll have to keep in mind.
Nice report as always.
P.S. No specific HD in the RMA box or the Chariot figs, looks like as with the Indians it will be a mix or 'derated' javelinmen with some bow or sling thrown in for variety. May end up breaking down and ordering some Black Hat Nome infantry from Scale Creep.

No one has commented on this point, but the Old Kingdom Egyptians have fielded an army with a shortage of two 4Bw. The shortfall was taken up by one Ps giving the Egyptians field strength of eleven elements. They have done well considering their slightly reduced number.
The javelins can be converted to war axe or sickle sword.

That substitution and shortage had slipped my memory = being short half of the BW would make it even harder for them to have an impact in infantry battles.
Have to admit that after converting those Indian javelins to clubmen I hadn't thought of doing the axe conversion to some of the Egyptian javelins - with only one pack of Menfat in the RMA was going to mix some of the bodyguard spear (as noted in the army list).
Capital idea, I also made the mistake of picking up a bag and a half of OG15 NKE slingers that are otherwise left in the cold (for all of its use through history not a lot of slingers show up in the army lists of nations that did use them).

The archers were helped with the presence of the Pharaoh/Nomarch as side support. Bow add +1 to their close combat factor with blade as side support.
An extra two bow could then be used to support the conscript infantry.

I received confirmation from Black Hat Miniatures today that my Biblical order is shipped. This is good news as I now have a week to take care of other projects; a mastaba or the Sumerian village.
I may do the mastaba (edifice) first as the release date for the 15mm Sumerians is targeted for May.
The battle report between the Libyan horde and Egyptians will be posted this Sunday. The Libyans are revitalised with 6 x tribesmen (5Hd) which proved interesting.

Nice reports, Robert, and excellent terrain. Those 6 x 5Hd Libyans are a scary bunch (as pawsBill and Claudius Gothicus have shown when I’ve played them). Seriously considering converting my ‘old’ v2.2 Ax + Ps Libyans to the new, fun version..... Cheers Martin

Interesting that in the third engagement even though the main action was still in the open that the Bedouin were able to pull it off. Low pips in that first encounter were an absolute killer.
I'll have to paint up some 3BW and a few more AX for my 6b Bedouin for the a option. If I can put my hands on them I have a boat load of the Chariot javelins and archers.
Due to the OG15 Christmas sale I decided to pick up 2 bags of Nubian archers to go with the figures I already had and do up a BBDBA Nubian (I need some Nubian BW for the Old Kingdom army anyway). They arrived and so i think they will jump the queue ahead of the Egyptians - should be fairly quick...
Amusingly the OG15 NB03 is half javelin and half club - will be converting 6 of the javelin to clubs for the 3AX as I will only need 3 PS but 6 3AX. Will also convert at least 3 of the javelin/spear in the command pack to archers. The command elements will look a bit better as 3 or 4BW with at least 1 archer on them.

The first three turns of game 1 the pip scores were 1, 1, and 2. That was enough to have the Bedouin soil their kilts.
Game 3 saw an improved deployment and die casts. The auxilia were able to back peddle and draw Amorite retinue to their doom. The Bedouin stalled the Amorite attack on their right (wood) which gave time for the Bedouin to serve the Amorites holding the village their deserts.
A second set placed in Bedouin home terrain is certainly on the cards.
Nubians: The Black Hat Nubians are packaged nicer. Their command pack consists of four figures and other packs contain 10 foot. Extra clubmen will serve as a camp guard.
