Sounds a hoot.
I faced 6Db Swiss in Azincourt - fearsome, especially when your army is mostly 4Bw! A tempting project - who makes really good swiss halberdiers...

HOTT Godiva - results
Due to a bizarre transposition of two sheets these results differ slightly from the announcement on the day. Grovelling apologies have already been offered to those concerned. Note to self - always get the paperwork checked by a chum!
Huge congratulations to our victor who only played his first game of HOTT the week before and who went out of his way to support the event rescheduling his work shift and having to leave for work ahead of the prizegiving...
Final double checked results are:

Thanks to everyone who came and created such a lovely supportive atmosphere - everyone helping each other along with unfamiliar rules. It was a joy to see the gaming community in such a positive caring mode.
There seems to be a lot of demand for base width movement so I will endeavour to add that in next year.

Hi Stevie Last year there was a DBA competition in Bakewell late Jan and one in Coventry early Feb. I'm not sure if Simon and Pete are planning a repeat this year at the same times, but if so I probably wouldn't make Frome this time. Also the Northern Cup is usually the first Sat in March although I can't see a date for next year yet, maybe Paul knows? If it is the first Sat in March that may knock out quite a few potential entrants. Cheers Yes - I'm planning Mercian DBA - late February (2nd/3rd Saturday) next year

Five rounds of excellent DBA fun. If you get the chance to go to a similar event in future I STRONGLY reccomended Despite taking an English 100 YW army which is a bit static and rather vulnerable I came a close second out of the 16 very lovely players. Neil Mason walked away with the prize for best army with his excellent Hussites. Both of us had created the armies just to play in this tournament. Excellent good fun with excellent host and enthusiastic acceptance of us and our non existent language skills. I'm sure all you "Englishmen now abed are holding your manhoods dear" even though it wasn't St Crispin's day 😏 If you've not seen it elsewhere check out Jerome's lovely video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=D224KpiqitU&ab_channel=DeBellisPicardorumUK organisers - we clearly need to raise our game in terms of: - Reporting
- Venue
- Lunch
Can we make our tournaments welcoming to foreign visitors?

You might be mixing up your "Stevies" Pete! Oops I'm easily confused, and all the multiple names don't help! Send me an email and then I'm sorted

" Dismounting allowed – bring dismounted elements to use if appropriate." Hi Martin. I have assumed that this refers to those allowed to dismount during the game ie those listed as // and excludes the alternative / type mounted and foot. Am I correct?
