So Pete hosts the next tournament and being the gentleman that he is, will presumably not be trying to win his own tournament, Sorry to disappoint but charming as I may be I truly am no gentleman! I'm still holding out for gentle man though

VERY special thanks to Andy for organising the draw, policing the timing & coordinating the results. He did a most excellent job (which I managed to make rather harder in several details.
Shamefully I've committed the faux pas of winning my own tournament (though TBF it's Andy's really).
Listed with player name, army number, points (5 win or Bye, 3 winning draw, 2 absolute draw, 1 losing draw 0 loss) and in parentheses the tie breaker (EE's Destroyed)
Results:
1 Pete Duckworth III/52 25 (22)
2 Neil Mason I/51 22 (25)
3 Paul Hodson III/64b 21 (21)
4 Connor Truby II/32a+ 21 (17)
5 Martin Myers I/43c 20 (20)
Paddy Myers IV/55b 20 (20)
7 John Saunders I/32c 20(17)
8 Martin Smith II/22a 18(17)
9 Tim Rogers II/25 17(20)
10 Kevin Casey I/17a 15(18)
11 Mark Johnson III/39 15(15)
12 Pete James I/1b 15(14)
13 Russell Spain I/3 15(13)
14 Chris Kemp III/66a 12(18)
15 Colin O'Shea III/50 12(16)
16 Tony Green II/69b 11(17)
17 Philip Donald IV/59a 11(12)
18 Bruce Williams I/2a 10(13)
19 Steve Etheridge IV/12b 10(11)
20 Phil Steele IV/30 7(9)
21 Ken Gordon IV/30 7(5)

Don't forget to bring a pre-selected terrain choice for your army which will be the choice whether the army is being used by you or (every other round) your opponent.
If we are an odd number then the lowest scoring player will get a 3 point "bye" (once only).
Eyes on the prize. This mediocre trophy and mediocre painted Phokian army for the winner & a copy of Sun Tzu's art of war for the "Tail End Charlie" as American players like to phrase it.

The ADLG (L'Art de la Guerre) rules allow both armies to break, i.e. lose, at the same time. It happens maybe once or twice over a two-day competition. Nobody seems to mind greatly, although, of course, in ADLG there is only one way of losing, which is when your army reaches its break point. Good point

Im not convinced that anyone in the HOTT community gets very upset about scoring. Given the knockabout nature of the system and the potential for mismatched armies.
Unless you offer a balanced system of matched pair armies I struggle to see how the issues might be fixed by scoring. How might you compensate for unlucky dice throws?
