Martin,
Well typical timing. Now having to fly to Belize via Miami (BA) on Saturday short notice. Still no airing for the Early Libyans. Let’s try for the summer PAWs.
Have a good tournament.
Peter

When an element pursues into an enemy line when it has forced the opposing element to recoil, and ends in rear corner to rear corner contact with enemy element to both sides. Does this count in effect as a mutual overlap?
Ie does a rear corner count as a flank?
Thanks
Peter

Hi Martin,
Should we advise prior to the event of the matched pairs, or just turn up with them, and info sheets etc on the day, and provide prior to a game.
Thanks
Peter

So the Early Libyans organised for the Spring event could be rolled out with some modifications in the Summer. Bet those other armies would love meeting them....

But - to conform after contact between a group and another group, the moving group must still have the movement to conform. The free sideways shift is only available once in front edge contact with contacted group and lined up. If the moving group does not have the move distance, it might contact initially, but cannot line up - the move cannot happen. Is that correct?

Hi Martin,
I am on for the 7th, especially as I am missing PAWS, and just prior to the cricket season.
Thanks Peter

Is command distance considered at the start of the bound from the General’s element or does it depend on where the General’s Element moves to?
This happened during a game last night. A Pk General had got fully into a BUA. Command Distance is now 4BW unless for own LH. On the first move the general moved so that part of the element was outside the BUA. This then brought many more element into Command Distance at that point, and they were moved without the additional 1PIP requirement. Is that correct?
Thanks
Peter

Indeed, DBA is more specific on contacts. DBA is not DBMM which is much looser on what happens if a front corner or front edge contacts. DBA is more defined.

Hi all,
Developing Carthaginian Army at 15mm for campaigning in Spain. Has anyone got good sources for colour schemes and shield types for Libyan Spears and Carthaginian Cavalry. I have the Duncan Head Punic War book and Steve Balagan’s Guide.
I am trying to understand how regimented to colour schemes and blazons could have been, or variations around basic themes or red tunics, linen and odd metal armour, bronze or white shields etc.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Peter

In a bound a LH element moves once and ends up 2BW of a rivers edge, and declares that the LH wishes to cross the river for another move. Throws a 1 or 2, so assume can cross the river as normal and then make a 3rd move as well.
What happens if a 3, 4, 5 or 6 is thrown? Does the LH move 2BW to the edge of the river and stop, or can it move a 3rd move 1BW across. Looking at the rules rivers are not good or other going, and subsequent moves have to be only in good going.
Thoughts please.
