The Chariot miniatures are nice figures. There are actually two poses in both the archers and spearmen, which if based alternately look fine. Thanks, I didn't know that. That makes them even more attractive.

Very nice and slowly getting ready for their "tour of Italy". Thanks, though in whose service is still undecided! Quite a few of the shields have the Aussie sporting colours (green and gold). Not sure how that happened. A bit of a worry!

Thanks, seeing them at this stage is a spur to get them and the Gauls finished.

It is; I think Black Hat are quite accommodating about individual figures, if you ask. I've seen rave reviews of the Gladiator Biblical range, but I'm not sure; the pictures on the website don't inspire, and some models have no pictures at all. I'd like to give them a try, but I think I'll probably go with Magister Militum.

A nice looking scenario. One way to change the balance would be to give the Pergamenes some 3Ax or 4Ax instead of the 7Hd. Is there any reason that you decided on the 7Hd? They're not too flash against 4Wb! I'm impressed at 14 figures on a horde base, mind!

We've got enough people committed to go with a refight of the Kadesh campaign, and then do the Sea Peoples down the track; more details here: link

I've got my 4Ax Spanish Scutati a little closer to being completed: This is a WIP of how the Xyston and CB mix (they all have CB shields, which helps). More here: link

The Two Davids style campaigns are great. Over the past 7 or so years the campaigns at MOAB have been a feature of the weekend. Cheers, I'm looking forward to trying one. I'll have to pick your brains on them at Conquest. We've got about 9 committed and 3 potential so far. Manufacturers for that period aren't amazing or plentiful.

It is actually tempting, though the Libyans aren't It more depends on when it is I think. I guess if you're getting to Cancon, that would be an issue. If it was Sunday 15 January, would that work?

In order to make this morph into I/20b, Other Syro-Canaanite Armies, I've decided to go with the Chariot figures and get the following:
6 Mitanni LCh Mayannu (4 Syro-Canaanite) = 2xMIT1 & 4xMIT2 2 Mitanni 4Ax spearmen = 4xEAS2, 2xEAS12 & 2xMIT5 2 Mitanni 3Ax spearmen (Syro-Canaanite Hupshu spearmen) = 4xEAS12 & 2xMIT5 2 Mitanni 4Bw archers (1 Syro-Canaanite royal guard) = 4xEAS13 & 4xMIT6 2 Mitanni Ps archers (Syro-Canaanite Khepetj or 'Apiru archers) = 4xHNH14 1 Mitanni (& Syro-Canaanite) Ps Bedouin javelinmen = 2xSUA5 1 Mitanni 7Hd levy (2 Syro-Canaanite Khepetj or 'Apiru spearmen) = 2xHNH15 & 4xHNH12 & 8xHNH7 2 Syro-Canaanite 3Ax Khepetj or 'Apiru spearmen = 3xHNH3 & 3xHNH15 1 Syro-Canaanite 3Bd royal guard = 3xHNH15
After all this, I'll only have three spearmen spare, and I can use one or two of them in the camp. The ability to order figures by the element at Magister Militum is very handy.

If I take some of the Syrians with full tunics, I could add HNH3 (Syrian Spearmen with shield), HNH15 (Sickle Swordsmen) and HNH14 (Syrian Bowmen). Getting all these (and the ones above) as element packs of four figures, it would allow me to field the bow as Ps if I wanted, and even consider fielding the spearmen as 3Ax as well.

I'm considering getting a 15mm Mitanni army. I see that Magister Militum have the Chariot range figures, Black Hat have the Gladiator figures, and Essex have some figures.
For the chariots has anyone seen the Gladiator ones by Black Hat? They have more range in their crew, including a command option. The Chariot ones by Magister Militum are nice, but only two options (MIT1 & MIT2).
The foot has a number of options:
Spearmen (3Ax or 4Ax) Archers (4Bw or Ps) Javelinmen (Ps) - either Hapiru or Bedouin javelinmen Levy (7Hd)
The Chariot range consists of two figures, a spearman and an archer (MIT5 & MIT6). These are one pose and in kilts. I'd like a bit more variety, especially as there's a horde to do. Magister Militum suggest a Sumerian javelinman for the Bedouin (SUA5), and I think some of the Assyrians provide variety to the spearmen and archers -- kilts and no helmet, as well as the same shields (EAS2, EAS12 and EAS13). I really just need a few more figures for the horde, preferably with wicker shields and with kilts. Any suggestions?
The Gladiator range has nothing. I guess I could use the bi45 and bi 46 from the Gladiator range, Canaanite and Syrian spearmen and archers (although they show swordsmen for the spearmen), and the bi14, Bedouin warriors with javelin. Between the three of these packs I'd be set for all the above, especially the horde. Does anyone knowing a bit about this period have any better suggestion?
Has anyone seen the figures by either of these manufacturers for either of these armies and want to offer an opinion on them?
