Last night I completed 2x3Ax and 1xSp for the Early Serbians - I can now field a legal army and the last strip (2xSp) is now underway.
The first two strips of my III/33 Early Muslim North Africa & Sicily have now been moved to the underway tray.
Cheers

The blue does the job well. What manufacturer are the figures from? I recognise the Essex chariotry, but not the infantry.

Nice job Baldie.
Timurilank, the inf. are also Essex.
I finished off a Philistine army a few months ago and have many Essex inf. which are what Baldie has.
They are listed as Sea Peoples on the Essex site.

Tis indeed true. There is not much of a range with swords so mixed em up a bit.
The 3 Aux with spears are my fave, think the sculpts look a bit like those constructs on the mummy.
First two games with em.
Game 1 I was killded 4-3 by my Egyptian overlords Game 2 late Roman's wished they had not time travelled and were slaughtered. Two Psiloi killed off their LH opponents by doubling them. Then managed to get two match ups where I only had +1in the combat but had closed the door in both combats. Combat one and of course I roll a one, but then so did opponent with his SS dice that have so far never shown the slightest sign of having a single dot on any side.Miracle of miracles the second combat went exactly the same. Winning combat with a one always leaves me with a warm glow.

More work done this weekend on my Midianites Camelry for my I/8c Sabaens... it's hard to picture these gangly quadrupeds are potentially lethal to Heavy Chariots.

The Early Polish (III/63a) are done and will be varnished later today. Looking back through my blog, I had a commission for a similar army and was surprised how my painting style had changed. Last step is the ground work and a banner, the white eagle on a sunset background (red).

Embers can always be coaxed back into flame with the right application.
A touch more difficult finding inspiration for painting tents.

Baldie,
As one Philistine to another, they look great. I love the blue! Very eye catching and distinctive.
And in regard to the 6mm, I would also suggest that you can never spend too much time painting if thats what you enjoy or find relaxing.

No painting, but re-basing. MY 1/72nd Carthaginian army was based according to version 2 or something. 3.0 says the auxilia and warbands have to be 4 figures per base. I'm waiting for the glue to dry before painting the bases. My technique has changed a lot since 2002.
