Background objects causing clutter. Low light levels. In and out of focus on large, moving, possibly shiny objects? Oh, I don't know, things like ... that? Oh, come on... Much as I love Tony's videos (and I do... I really do), it's not like we're talking about an Oliver Stone, Oscar winning piece of work here P. I'd have to quit my day job (oh and painting too) for that to happen. I am pretty happy with the results considering I am using two cheap mics, a 19.99 tripod, one of my Ottlite floor lamps and filming and editing on my Samsung 8+ phone. Besides if they looked better, I would make just as much money on these videos.

Nice to see the Mediaeval Germans and Ottomans on a video, these are both supremely well painted armies.

As posted on Facebook: "Just a last minute thing, but Mitch Harbach and I will be filming some DBA 3.0 videos tomorrow (Friday, 11-2) and we are going to go over some topics such as shooting, terrain, threat zones, etc. and want to get your input about suggestions to cover. It would be nice to cover those items that keep coming up frequently in questions. Keep in mind you have only one day to get them in."

Sounds like fleeing into contact is a hot topic. After reading I am sure I get more rather than less confused.
Moving when in multiple threat zones gets me especially if a group is moving towards another group but there is a single unit behind and to the side a little of the group being moved towards.
I am probably not making sense but an element wants to move with a group so it is providing overlap at the end of a line but an enemy element at a slight angle causes it to come into a threat zone. If it moves up to overlap it is not actually trying to line up with the single unit behind the line.
If anyone can interprate that i will be surprised. Also would be nice to know what beverage Mitch prefers as well as i feel this is often overlooked in the reports.

Watched the Mithradates/Rome game yesterday and, as usual, it was both instructive and entertaining especially as I've never used scythed chariots before. Re some other comments, what you are doing and the way you go about it are just fine with me. Given that you are using the bare minimum of equipment and that filming is not your 'day job', I think you and Mitch do a great job. As for topics to cover tomorrow, I agree with others that weird results from fleeing into contact and the issue of who conforms to who when lining up in front edge/corner to front edge/corner is prevented by a physical obstacle, are topics that I'd like some enlightenment on.

Tony,
Can we see Mitch’s Hussites back in action. That threw up some interesting rule issues. Also as a lover of LH I’d love to see the Shythians back in action or perhaps some Mongols vs Teutonics. May need a 30” x 30” there. Final thought is to see some really useless armies pitched against each other - that often produces the most fun games.
