I finished my Skythians I/43 last month but it has taken me several weeks to get around to photographing them.
I went for the Cav (Gen), Cav and 10 LH option to give them a bit more punch.
Sorry about the amateurish out of focus photos. What do you think?

One last group of light horse.
General and Noble Cavalry figure's by Xyston. Light Horse figures mostly by Chariot Miniatures (Magister Militum) with a few from Gladiator. 8 of the Chariot Light Horse were painted some 20 years ago with Hubmrol enamels as part of an 7th edition Athenian Army but a renewed interest in DBA 3.0 prompted me to finish the others and paint up the rest which are new paints using acrylics. I love the Xyston figures and will probably gradually replace the Light Horse with Xyston at some point but for now this army is ready to fight.
I really like this highly mobile and flexible army and find it most effective when the PIP dice rolls high. However, it is not quite as easy to use with 3.0 as previous versions and I have yet to master it under 3.0.

A really nice looking army there Paddy.
I run an Early Hu army as I too am fond of Lh.I added some foot elements recently to coap with bad going and the pip drain of the Lh when playing 3.0.
Good luck with your army.😊

Hello Paddy, your army looks fantasitc! And your pictures are a wonderful example of how great it looks to design the bases according to the battleboard. Cheers, Ronald.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes the bases are steel bases from Precision Wargames Supplies - so thin are strong plus with magnetic sheeting in the really useful transit box they are securely held and travel well. I can turn the box upside down with no figure falling out. Well worth the money given the bashing that DBA armies get.
The battleboard and the bases are both done the same way with PVA and fine sand being painted, highlighted and flocked. All my hills are done the same way too but I've yet to put the work I need to into the other terrain pieces - so it'll be a wile before I start posting photos of them.

Amazing skills. Beautiful army. I have a pack of Scythian cav. (Zvezda) that I'm now inspired to paint.
