Inspired by "Macbeth's" recent pics of his III/76 Konstantinian Byz. CP (Gen) element, I got thinking that I need to build that Byzzie army too. What figure range(s) did you use? I did a quick scan of possible 15mm ranges, e.g. Essex, Old Glory, etc. None seemed ideal for Manzikert-era Byzzies. Any suggestions, please, for a single range that reasonably fits the bill to take the field as Konstantinian Byzantines "on that terrible day"? Khurasan Nikes, perhaps?

Outpost miniatures Byzantines; support with some random figures from Legio Heroica Crusaders range. You could probably use the Legio Heroica figures alone-use the Turcopoles and Armenians as the HC, perhaps along with some Muslim Gilman as heavy cavalry. I think they match well with the Outpost heavy cavalry. I like the Outpost cavalry, but might use Armenian infantry and Muslim infantry as the Byzantine foot. The Outpost Crusader command group and Byzantine mounted command groups are very nice.

I will expand my latest Middle Eastern project with other armies and Outpost has some nice options. www.outpostwargameservices.co.uk/

Khurasan make some really good looking ones.
Checking their website it seems they are on "catch up time" right now, so it might be a little bit before you can order them.

menix-miniatures.blogspot.com/These are Alain Touillier figures. Sadly, he died recently. But, if you compare the mounted to the Outpost you can see similarities. I don't know if anyone inherited the molds for Alain's figures. I think he was a one man show. RIP buddy.

Khurasan Miniatures' long "Maintenance Halt" is finally over. Now, to study their extensive Nike Byzzie range to choose which figures best fit the Manzikert-era, Konstantinian Byz. range.
