Decades ago, back in the days of DBA-1, I painted a #63 Blemmye army. All "Tabletop" 15s. It was a delightful looking army with its pleasing palette of off-white, copper and powder blue, against the dark, Nubian skin tones. I used the army often.
When DBA-2 came out, I added "Falcon" camels and converted bowmen to auxilia and gave away the orphaned Jumbo.
And I've been woefully depressed ever since. (Winks and grins.)
It just never looked right. Some ranges blend well together; TTG and Falcon don't to my eye. My conversions weren't convincing either. I rarely fielded them after V-2 came out.
So, rather than renovate it again now for V-3, I'm restoring it to its original, all "Tabletop" make-up, per the DBA-1 list. A new TTG Ellie just arrived from Alternative Armies. The "Falcon" camels and the bad conversions are all off the Orphanage. Can't wait to using this army again (using V-3 rules, of course).

Sounds like good news, Paul. I think I will be trying to do some refurbs of my own in the near future.

Now, others here in the NAGS group want an historical scenario, featuring these Blemmyes. That looks to be a very tall order. While there's some general info on the 'net about the expeditions that various big shots, from Aurelian to Justinian, sent up the Nile to quell the Blemmye nuisance, I have yet to find an image of a potsherd with both sides' pre-battle dispositions all nicely sketched out. Arghhh.

Arghhh. I encountered the same problem researching the warriors of Kush and the Nobades. dbagora.blogspot.nl/2015/12/meroitic-kush-of-3rd-century.html
Any scenario you write may include battles fought in differing terrain; hilly, dry, arable and waterway.
Edit: forgot steppe.
