I think Lindon was revolting Sumerians 'T was fun. 5 excellent games. A lot of deviousness, especially from my two esteemed Early Egyptians opponents: you guys have found a very good "feature" (I don't want to reveal here). I took the revolting Guti with Elamite Ally. I really liked them! 5x3Bd+4x3Wb+3x3Bw makes for a decent balance. I thought that they would be able to cope with enemy terrain (with Agg3), but not always, as enemy Ps on steep hills often proved nuisances, and there are still many tricks that can be played with the terrain rules to disadvantage the attacker. I think I'll be back to minimising the Agg for the following tourneys. All my game were very good though, often ending in 4-3/3-4 (+vast quantities of hordes...) I thought engineering 5 blades from that list was quite devious, Arnaud. I haven’t talked with Martin since the tournament, but it will be interesting to compare notes. Hd are really useful in Biblical games, with few Kn about. Martin’s attack in the final was lead by two 7Hd elements – how often do you see that? One of the photos above neatly shows his attack around the edifice with half of his army on the other flank completely out of it. In the cramped and muddled melees in Mark’s rear the Hd elements didn’t mind having doors closed on them and losing the fight, they just kept going. Lindon used 1/1c Colin
