Greetings Will see what I can do to get there. I found my late mediaeval figures last week .... I haven't played DBA for ages and 3.0 not at all. Note that there is quite a bit of debate about Ordonnance 'archers' in the early Italian Wars with pictorial evidence from Fornovo and Genoa in 1507 of uniformed longbow men in action. I am not yet well read up on this one. Regards Edward OK I'm happy to relent on the mounted LB in the French

Hi Pete, I'm keen to come along on the 12th of Feb, but I don't have any armies from that time period. Could I please borrow one of the loan armies for the day? Iv/68f if possible please! Cheers, Mark Hi Mark I have lots of loaner armies but no Spanish Neil Mason has Spanish from a DBM Project So might help. How about IV/13d They have lovely hats? And remember the uber armies are an illusion as you will play with your opponents army in the 2nd 1/2...

I reckon Spanish are the best option too! However, apologies to Pete and Neil, I am unable to make this event. Have fun!

Pete, I am planning to come along unless family issues prevent. What time do you think to finish? What do we do for terrain - bring both invader and defender for our own army?

Hi Paul
We should be over about 4:30. I try to keep timing tight and penalizing draw results helps

Mark and others have noted the superiority of Iv/68f from the list of armies.
However people seem not to have noted that the final games will be played with your opponents army, so a killer list may not be helpful given the Swiss Chess format...
Looking forward to it We managed 16 last year - lets hope its a good one.

Yes, hope it's a good turnout for you, Pete. Current plan is myself + Colin + Mark coming from a Winchester rendezvous. Have cobbled together two armies, one for myself and one for Mark. Colin's also on the case, I think. See you Sunday 12th.

Hi Pete
Hope to be there.
I won't be bringing Spanish though, so at least there will be some variety!
Can you remind me about terrain? Do we bring a selection to use as we see fit in each round or do we supply terrain with the army that has to be used each round it's the defender?
Cheers Mark
