Just heard that the HOTT competition at the Recon show Pudsey Civic Hall, near Leeds, on the 3rd Dec, is going ahead.
Not got all the info yet, however, from previous years it's likely to be an open competition with around 5 games in the day, depending upon numbers attending, and fairly cheap to enter, as the price includes entry to the show as well.
I'll post further details when I get them.

I used to enjoy the HotT competition at Pudsey. I used to attend when I lived in Sheffield, and for a year or two afterwards. The show is worth going to as well (although not on the scale that Triples used to be). Also, I seem to remember a really good chip shop a short walk from Pudsey Civic Hall.

A Tim Kohler has asked (on the old Fanaticus forum) if people who intend to play in the tournament contact him, presumably to help him organise things. www.fanaticus.org/discussion/showthread.php?p=203725#post203725I did mention this forum, and said that I would mention his request here. Although I love living in Bulgaria, it would be so nice to get to be able to get to Recon at Pudsey Civic Hall for the HotT tournament.

Thanks for that.
To save people following the link, if anyone is interested in attending, this is the info from Tim:
"Just to let people know that we're running our usual HOTT competition at Recon this year (Leeds - 3rd Dec.) All welcome (entrance fee £4:50 including entrance to the show, 10:00 start), but would be helpful if you let me know you're coming in advance via Tim.kohler@naturalengland.org.uk, or text 07827 280405. If you're short an army, we have loan ones if you let me know beforehand."
Rules: Hordes of the Things 2nd Edition (plus amended movement for shooters – 2” and Warband – 3”) Scale : 15mm Army Composition (this is to the standard rules in HoTT (24 Army Points), but no more than 12 AP may be elements over 2AP each)
Having played in this the last couple of years it's usually a fun event and as Tim says if you're short of an army you can always borrow one from them, plus you get to look around the show as well!
