Landwaster is looking pretty healthy
We have about 24 entries if everyone shows.
Dean Bedlington from Olympian Games will be in attendance and he will have copies of DBA3 available (unless they are all snapped up before the shooting starts).
Cheers

Hi Interested in what the 'speed' element is to the tournament? The speed element is lost in the mists of time. Way back in 2002 when my DBA group was encouraging me to run a tournament we discussed the nature of a particular player who might attend - said player was a master of prevarication who could present an image of not having a clue how the game worked and yet could suddenly quote chapter line and verse of the rules when it suited. He would drag out his own turn, leaving his opponent keen to move the game on and more likely to make errors that he would pounce on. So we initiated the following conditions by providing 2 egg timers for each table. 1) Movement is limited to 3 minutes, any PIPs unused when the egg timer runs out are wasted. 2) Shooting is then adjudicated - under DBA2.x with no third party shooting rule it can usually be dealt with quickly. 3) Combat then proceeds with a 3 minute time limit allowing the player who is choosing the order to consider, vocalise, run through options. Any combats not determined when the three minutes are up are rolled for left to right without delay. The target of this ruling never attended and after the first two runs of Landwaster the use of the egg timers became optional. They are still provided for tradition's sake.Cheers

Thanks for the explanation.
Yes that can be a pain particulalrly when the scoring system penalises draws.
Is it just me or is this site getting confused with other people as to who has posted what?
I did not post the "Excellent Michael" post above, uless I'm completely losing my memory! Cheers Mark

Mark,
it is either the site or myself that is getting confused.
First I tried to reply to your post with your question as a quote and it put your text and mine together in the quote box.
Then I tried to reply to The Hill Crusher with a quote from his post and it gave me yours instead. I cut it all out but it left you as the quote provider.
So it goes
Cheers

Gepids are ready to roll. Bring it on. Daz I was considering building that army at some stage in the future. I look forward to seeing how it goes for you!

The Gepid practice games have been over quickly. Fast win or a fast loss. I am enjoying using them. I have been looking at Warband options lately in other lists.
Cheers

With just over a week to go we have 25 entries if there is no game day attrition.
If there is an odd number of entries I will take to the field - I am currently pondering whether to dust off
Early Libyans - they will have Sea People Allies (I am not totally crazy).
Medieval Irish - almost endless possibilities including allies
The Glorious Sung
I am still waiting on a few lists and there are one or two of the usual suspects that I haven't heard from yet.
If the list situation improves over the weekend I will post up Runners and Riders
Cheers
