I’ve been trying to motivate myself to work on my next army for some time. So it looks like it’s going to be 4/81 Inca and all because sheffmark gave me a mummy figure as part of a swap. Looking at the army list I saw the general can be a3Bd/4Ax/Lit. I’m a sucker for a litter and not having any Incas to fight my 4/84 Mapuche I bought some cheap from Colonel Bills and set to work. Wanting flexibility I wondered if I could make a General’s stand that could be all three options. Having done something with my early Egyptian general. I am trying to replicate this litter: badgergames.com/shop/outpost-wargames-services/mesoamerican/incas/ows-inc005-inca-litter-without-canopy/i decided to avoid the canopy as too much work. So I thought a few wip photos might help others. The litter is basically a bit of lolly stick with paper sides and balsa blocks in the seats. The poles are brass rod. Sequins will be added to provide raised decoration. The idea will be to split the 40x40 stand into two 20x20s and join them - see the last photo of my Egyptian one (15 and 25 split). The litter sits on one half with mummy and the 3Bd stand the other. The standard bearer will be floating and pegged to the either stand as required. I will post when painted. Let’s face it probably will only ever use the 3Bd option!. K Lit Gen 3Bd G 4Ax G

Vodnik, that helps us non Inca followers to see where Ken is going with his litter and porters albeit Ken has created some quite clever combinations to extend his Inca general capabilities.

PS lovely Inca army Vodnik.
PPS My only attempt at a litter has been for my colonial 20mm Chinese around time of the Boxer Rising. CarlL

OH that's clever Ken. Great paint job.
Only ever used one command wagon in DBA. (Despite making a few and having Hussite ones unpainted in 15mm and 54mm! Latter bought from Husite museum at Tabor many moons ago.) It was an Italian Carracio (not sure how to spell that!) from Irregular Miniatures old 25mm range still available in their 28mm range as RR4 under their Religious and Rabble tab!) ... in fact the one we used was David's from York, (same model as mine but different finish)... well after all these years waiting to use one it was a disaster! It got creamed flank and front!
