Late Medieval Topics Eight years ago, I began collecting armies of the late medieval period and posted a number of articles on a variety of subjects, such as cities, banking, the guilds and more.
Since then, there has appeared a wealth of new information that I feel compelled to flesh out or revise the old material while developing a campaign set in 15th century.

Painting the fully armoured mounted knights is progressing very slowly. One colour a day seems little, but the figures are finally shaping up.
While re-writing old medieval topics this has generated a number of useful ideas for a campaign. Given the number of kingdoms, principalities, duchies and Imperial cities involved, the game may follow a system similar to one done two years back, the Merovingian Kingdoms .

Cities and Towns
The first of a series of medieval topics is posted to the blog. With each revision new ideas for a campaign are surfacing. No idea when the project will be complete, but conflicts can arise between realms, cities and noble houses. dbagora.blogspot.com/2012/10/cities-and-towns.html

More topics
I have revised medieval banking and commerce topics. Included with each topic are possible application for a DBA style campaign. Because this will begin in Northern Germany I have added a new topic, geography. very usefull thanks! bluestone28, Thank you. The original topics were posted eight years ago. I gave them a once over recently while wrestling with parameters for a new campaign game set in the 15th century. Rather than moving forward with the campaign I decided to revise each and doing so elements of the campaign rule set are beginning to surface. There are a few topics left to do, but finishing the Later Polish is now a priority.

The Later Polish are now complete and tomorrow work begins on the 16 flags and gonfalons (double size command). Most of the flags will duplicate those present at the Battle of Grunwald.
Of the original collection there are enough elements for one or two commands, but all the mounted have been taken by the earlier armies. However, recent orders from Legio Heroica there are sufficient packs to create more pike, bill and bow elements so the paint brushes will remain active.

Been a while since I have logged in, but I have been following the posts.
Like the Free Canton army and the background. Likely to build one down the road.
Have some of the Essex Later Polish figures from some armies I got second hand, another down the road project as well. Looking forward to seeing yours.

The flags and gonfalons (16x) should be done before the weekend. Photos should be posted to the blog this Sunday. The original collection is completely refurbished and allocated to build complete armies. New packs are infantry to add variation for the upcoming campaign in Northern Germany.

Late Medieval Polish
These took some time to finish, but photos of the Later Polish are posted to the blog. From the original collection that was refurbished there remain but a small number of elements. These will redone between play tests of the campaign game and the naval supplement. dbagora.blogspot.com/2020/11/the-late-medieval-polish.html

Gentlemen,
Thank you for the kind words and likes.
So, pleased that the two commands were done, I took one for a bit of play testing against the forces of the Elector of Bohemia. For the occasion I decorated the board with a few medieval goodies.
Full report with photos this coming Tuesday.

Lovely,
Just cleaned, added weapons and undercoated 58 infantry. These will build a second Tudor army for an expeditionary force to Northern France.
The remainder will help make two Hungarian commands (IV/43c). Hungarian light troops are now on the work bench (2 x 5Hd, 2 x 3Bw, 2 x Ps).
