Hi
Maybe this is discussed elsewhere. New to DBA 3.0 so maybe silly question.
Battle group "A" approaches battle group "B" but does not have enough movement to make contact with "B" this turn. Group "A" stops just short of the distance group "B" can move in their own turn. Thus in group "A" next turn they can now charge home and choose which units to fight first. This is an advantage as "A" gets to choose which units fight first. is this OK?
Hope i have explained it ok, for example cavalry approaching Spears but stopping just short of the spears movement(when its their turn) so in the cavalry next turn they can charge home and get to choose where to attack first. I had this with Gauls fighting romans and wondered if the gauls were that disciplined to stop and attack next turn. Sorry if i have missed something obvious. Cheers

Spot on. Choosing order of combats, which goes first, can be vital. 👍
PS…no daft questions, only daft answers. Ask ANYTHING 😁

It's an interesting question as to whether you prefer to be the one to initiate the combat or respond to it in the following turn when the line may have been broken up and there may be overlaps to exploit!

If I am charging in, it will be because I think that is my best chance of winning, so I think I'd prefer to be the one making that decision (and getting to choose the sequence of combats in that first turn of contact).
