Antoine,
I like the improved Carthaginian figures. Those do not look like Essex, what manufacturer are they?

Wow. Then you have made an exceptional transformation that they are not easily recognized as Essex. Well done.

Hi Antoine - great photos and interested in this period myself. Are these the Essex 28mm or 15mm figures. I was trying to work out the scale from the photos but failed. Thanks Peter

Thanks Peter Hi, the figures are mostly Essex apart from the Teutonic Knights (mirliton) and a few Xyston Gauls (cavalry). it is of course 15mm, the best scale for DBA in my opinion (and good for lazy painters like me ).

Lazy painter? --Pshaw! You do great work that obviously involves careful, time-consuming effort, especially on all your terrific, hand-painted shield designs. Well done!

Those look great. I love the shields. I tried using pens and didn't have good results. Perhaps the pens weren't good enough quality. It didn't help that the wash dissolved them too!
