(14) DBA events at RECON'24 in Orlando, FL, 25-28 APR !!

- A small but dedicated group of DBA'ers across Florida have been building DBA activity for the past year.
- RECON'24 will be our 3rd regional con, and second Regional Championship Tournament.

- Formula is an Equal mix of historic battles and tournaments in Every time slot.
- The historic battles draw in new players based on the scenario write-ups "...But now you are in command."
- They don't even know they're playing DBA, but we put an experienced DBA coach on each side.
- The ones who like the system are invited into the tournaments.
- The tournaments are 50/50 historic matches, and themed events (lights, littoral, etc.)
- Saturday night is the capstone Championship (3-4 round Swiss)
- Sunday morning is the 3-round themed campaign, followed by pack-out and brunch.

- For our 3rd con, we are adding:
1) Midnight Madness on Thursday
2) unpainted army prize support, mainly to entice the newbies, and
3) painted armies for (consignment) sale out of plexiglass display cases in the Great Hall ...see how it goes.

- After giving us a 2-show head start, the ADLG folks finally arrived in force. I welcomed them into our Ancients and Medieval Great Hall believing that:
1) wargaming is wargaming, and there's room for several A&M systems.
2) how can 67 pages of rules written originally in French compete with a 7-pages rule system?
- Anyone else have experience with ADLG or those who play it?? Impressions?
