Hi All......does anyone know the reasoning behind the restriction to firing at targets 'within 1BW of directly in front of part of the shooting edge'? This seems to be highly restrictive at medium to long range & very flexible at short range.....

There has to be a limit to the angle of fire. Personally I prefer the 1BW of either side, rather than messing about with 45 degree angles or such as some rules do.
Don't forget that a shooting unit has to fire at an element in it's Threat Zone, so I'd argue that it's more restrictive at short range?
