Well best of luck with it. I know people who looked on that area, but the visa was too expensive so looked at Portugal instead.

I'm vexed by all the vexillum variations, Stephen. Another question: when does your opponent learn your army composition?
Yours,

Planning transport... what time are you thinking of starting and finishing? Thinking of starting at 10 prompt, sign in from 0930. Aiming to finish by 1630. Thanks Stevie…see you there. Looking forward to it 👍🏼. A fine array of competitors, and some mean looking armies in tow. Should be utter carnage 😁.

I'm vexed by all the vexillum variations, Stephen. Another question: when does your opponent learn your army composition? Yours, Paul H Apparently, you get to know the two (possible) variants at the time you draw them and then you have to make your mind up on which variant you’re running with. 👍 P The full lists will be on the wall tomorrow. Each rounds draw will be random. I have already made them to ensure that no-one plays the same opponent twice (which actually was a tad difficult, despite using computers and all that gubbins!) The idea is that when you know who you are playing next you can look at the list they have lodged with me (most people have taken the option to have the two variants) and you must decide before you go to the table which of your options (if you have them) you will use. You record your choice on a slip you carry with you. Both you and your opponent will know what you and they have lodged but neither you nor they will know exactly what you face unless your opponent has only one option. You have to decide on the balance of your intelligence about them (the lodged list) which of your options is best. Once you have made your choice for that given game, you cannot change it.

Clear, Stephen. One more question: when my opponent and I roll up to our table, each of us having decided which variant to use in that battle, do we tell each other immediately? Or do we first decide the defender and choose and deploy terrain, and only then reveal which variant?

Clear, Stephen. One more question: when my opponent and I roll up to our table, each of us having decided which variant to use in that battle, do we tell each other immediately? Or do we first decide the defender and choose and deploy terrain, and only then reveal which variant? You need to roll up with a magic piece of paper I will give you on which you record your choice. When you roll up to your table you and your opponent both show each other your choices (though if it were me to be honest, I would have forgotten the subtleties so the piece of paper saying 1 or 2 or A or B would not illuminate me much - good job I'm not intending to play!). When you reveal your choice, you can groan if your opponent has chosen the one you thought they would not.............................. I will see you tomorrow and we'll see if this convoluted schema works. If it does, what a great competition I organised. If it does not, Stephen Finn gave me the idea, it's all his fault!

Many thanks to allnewstevie for a well run day of gaming today. Six full-on games, with some tough opponents!
Congrats to all on the podium, mighty warriors, you…(I won’t spoil the surprise by pre-announcing, but all well deserved their places).
[Managed a full set -2 losses, 2 draws, 2 wins.]

Anyone want to take a set of 3 useless and redundant d6s off my hands. One careful owner who was tragically let down by the numbers they decided to roll!
