Why are these things always so far away. Why where are you based? The locals tell me Sheffield is the centre of the universe so should be easy to get to from anywhere!? Kent, if I'm up that way visiting family it wouldn't be too bad. |

Possibly 😂 though she just comes in and laughs. I drag her along to look at tanks from time to time. She’s an English teacher so we only spend Thursday - Sundays together as we work different hours |

Inclined to agree…I did Colours last hear, when Attilathenun ran a DBA tournament, and went from Faversham/Whitstable area…it was a bit of an epic drive, TBH 🙃. However, we used to do the 2:20 to Tarrington and Coventry OK. Much easier with a carful, hurling abuse at the driver and pretending not to remember what army you’re going to use (outbound) and then decrying the ‘awful string of 1’s which robbed me of victory’ (etc etc ) on the inbound leg. |

I agree about the travel. I do Sheffield to Coventry (approx 4 hours there and back) in a day but anything beyond that it's a decision about whether to book an overnight in a hotel. I've regularly done Tarrington/Cold Ash because I enjoy the format, (which is why Steel Warriors is based on it)
Having just looked on Trivago there are hotels in and around Sheffield for Friday the 22nd March for around £40, but it does all add to the cost.
