This probably has been asked before, but I couldn't find it. So sorry for the (likely) repetition.
I'm back to playing DBx after a long hiatus, and I seem to recall a rule in DBM that allowed a move from overlap to flank contact even if the element's move wasn't strictly quite enough to do that. Does this not exist in DBA? So solid foot in with 1BW move in bad or rough starting from a corner overlap can not turn to flank?

Under v2.2 and earlier an element could ‘close the door’ from corner contact regardless of terrain speed restrictions. No longer, under v3.

Yes, 4Bd in bad going for example can't.
And it is good to know it.

Specifically, you cannot contact the flank if you don't have enough movement. But you can maintain corner to corner overlap and move enough distance to be able to contact the flank on the next turn.
