My latest dabblings. A couple of test 15mm bases for DBACW.

I went over to Scarborough yesterday for a game of DBACW using Alex's plastic ACW figures. In DBACW each element is a regiment or a battery of guns and formations are brigades. The rules play differently to DBN with a greater emphasis on Brigade commanders to recover shaken units and keep units formed within 300 paces command range. We played an 1863 meeting engagement with 30 point armies. It was a close game but the rebels had the advantage when we finished.

With DBN it seemed somehow hard to recreate Wellington's battles in the Peninsula. DBACW might do the trick (although I don't like written markers next to units at all).

My latest dabbling around is with some 10mm ACW for DBACW. Figures are a mix of the older Pendraken range and Blaze Away.

Great looking figures. This morning I played an ACW engagement using my 2mm armies. I used DBACW rules with a bit of adaptation for 2mm
