But imagine the joy if achieving a win or wins??!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Imagine the pain of constantly reading the lists, putting together a killer force, practicing and developing the list, thinking which allies could help you, moving on to experiments with terrain ( all this done as a montage with a powerful rock ballad on loop ) then getting to the tourney and losing every game. Taking a force you are bound to lose with is quiet liberating. Joking aside, it is…..✔️. A ‘tough-to-win-with’ army gives the gamer a challenging day, looking for any chance of a glimmer of hope. It can also unnerve the opponent, who dreads the thought of losing to a ‘no hoper’. I’ve used horde heavy armies under v2.2 and had great days. The Sui Chinese managed a glorious morning with three wins (then a more ‘usual’ afternoon), and Spartacus was a reet giggle.

I'm pleased to announce that Leadbear's Tufts is providing vouchers as part of the prize pool for DBA at MOAB. Many thanks Barry for your generous support of the hobby.

There are now 8 registered players and 3 have submitted their lists. Keep those registrations rolling in and hopefully we'll reach up to 20 players.

Numbers are slowly increasing, with 8 registered to contest Vanilla Auxilia and 10 to play The Crescent and the Cross. Still plenty of room for more participants.

Yesterday I received communication from the organisers of MOAB that registrations for all gaming systems are coming in thick and fast, and as a result limits have now been placed on all tournaments. For DBA that means the maximum number of players is set at 22. So, essentially the message is, don't delay in registering or you may miss out.

Some additional and welcome news. Yesterday I received confirmation that War and Peace Games have come on board as a major sponsor of DBA at MOAB. Keep those registrations rolling in.

Hi Guys,
MOAB is less than a month away and it is only 13 days (19/9/23) until the cost of registration increases. So if you are still interested in playing DBA please register before spots disappear.

Ok.....I'll be the first to 'self-declare'.
I'm going to run III/55 Early Samurai on Day 1 (Vanilla Auxilia) and IV/7 Early Crusader on Day 2 (The Crescent and the Cross).
Easy choice for Day 2 - the Z range Norman figures are tremendous and my mate, Peter Callan did a fantastic job on painting them up as crusaders. Day 1 was harder.....I love my Thracian army - they are really beautiful figures (Xyston) but the list is just not competitive enough. We have some very experienced players signed up for the comp - they would cut me up!
See everyone there. Cheers Mark

Alright, Alright
Day 1 - II/20a Ptolemaic Day 2 - III/12 Christian Nubian
Both have been getting a good run on club nights and the Nubians have collected a couple of well placed scalps.
Which means I expect Karma to catch up on me by MOAB and they will crash and burn.
Cheers

Not sure I will be getting any practice games in. Sort of settled on my armies. Will confirm with Greg today. Probably Ariarathid Kappadokian and Normans.
I am excited to Big Kev levels.
