...Bauedas Viking range offered me the idea to use that miniatures for a strong Bohemian army. The mounted units are from ATF and Essex... ...comparing the Slav lists in the different DBA versions, Versieer from dension 3 means no improvement to the previous version. On the contrary, the Bohemians became West Slavs, who are actually the Wends who lived in the area of today's Deutschlabd. Charlemagne already knew the Bohemians living in Tschwchien and distinguished them from the Sorbs, Abodrites and Wilzi: in dba1: Slav are nr: 89; 1 3Cv or 3Ax, 8 3Ax, 3 2Ps in dba2: there are 3 different lists; 3/1a: Wends 580-1218 littoralAg: 1; 2x3Cv(Gn), 7x3Ax, 1x4Bd or 3Cv or 3Kn, 2x 2Ps or 3Bw 3/1b: Bohemians 830-1003 arable Ag: 1; 1x3Cv(Gn), 1x3Cv or 3Kn, 8x4Sp, 2Ps or 3Bw 3/1c: others 476-985 forest Ag: 1; 1x3Cv or 3Ax(Gn),9x3Ax, 2x 2Ps in dba: 3/1 Early Slaw 476-1218; a: Northern Slav Armies 580-1218: 1xCv(Gen), 1xCv, 7x3Ax, 1x4Bd or Cv or 3Kn or 3Bw, 2xPs b: Western Slav Armies 741-1003: 1xCv(Gen), 1xCv or 3Kn or 3Bw, 8xSp, 2xPs or 3Bw c: Southern Slav Army 476-896: 1xCv or 3Ax(Gen), 1x3Ax or Cv, 8x3Ax, 2xPS

...as i like to fight mit Slawen using different rulesets i have sometime to use specific troop types: ...the Slavic commander in front is javelin cavalry for Triumph. Also Roman commanders and west Germanic or Lithuanians have to use that trooptipe. Like most mounted elements: 4 points. Next row are bow levy; slow skirmishing shooters with no range. But cheap - 2 points. Next row are rables, also on cavalry bases also cheep - 2 points also for Triumph. Next 4 rows are Ax or light foot for 3 points. Behind are medium cavalry with bow for ADG that means really mounted shooters with a range: ...one mounted row is missing the javelin cavalry my Samogitians...

Interesting to see all of those Metal Magic (now Gladiator) Pruss/Lithuanians figures scattered through the various armies. At this point in time I have a BBDBA Pruss army that is mostly Metal Magic with some Essex elements. Thinking of adding more of the Metal Magic and shifting the Essex elements to a Lithuanian army or as the Pruss contingent in my Teutonics.
At any rate all of the previous look quite good.
Although it would be interesting to see some figures for the Siberians in lamellar as that armor goes back a couple of thousand years there and one would think that at least a few of the warriors would be wearing it.
