Hello,
is there a reference sheet for the Knight and Knaves rules?
The new version of the rules looks a lot better than the old one and I would like to give them another try. A reference sheet would come very handy.

Test-played again today, without a real reference sheet, but with something cobbled together from the rulebook. The rules work OK, but are still higly chaotic and convoluted. Much better than the first edition was, but still difficult to put together. The modular nature of the rulebook does not help. The rules are all over the place and the glossary is incomplete. In the end, only a full-text search in the PDF yields answers. I assume that it is all somewhere in the rules, but it is too much work for me to put it together.
I guess a good game is in there, and presentation has improved. Alas, still insufficiently so to convince me to keep trying.

Hi felixs,
what would you say, how much DBA is there in it?
Cheers

Quite a lot.
I am surprised that there is no reference sheet.

I am surprised that there is no reference sheet. I was surprised as well.
Still not sure whether I have missed something and there is a playsheet somewhere. I have not found it.
what would you say, how much DBA is there in it? As Joe Collins (lkmjbc) writes: A lot. It is basically a re-written version of DBA with options and fantasy elements added. I very much like the idea of it. But, as I wrote, it is extremely chaotic. And - to me - unplayable without a playsheet. Of course, I could do one myself. But that seems too much work really. And some other ideas seem semi-finished. There are rules for elves and dwarves and since they are better than humans, they have a x1.5 points cost modificator. That sounds OK for what they get (basically fight with a d8 instead of a d6), but x1.5 points cost results in problems as soon as you have a unit with an uneven points cost. A cost of 3 would become 4.5 points. But half points are, as far as I understand, not a concept of the rules. There are numerous similar cases.
A selection of good ideas. But, alas, unfinished, inconsistent and lacking polish. Still worth a look if you do not mind these things and if a toolbox of ideas sounds good to you. Just don't expect something that is smoothly playable right from the book.

Danke, felixs, a good summary! (Eine klasse Rezension!)

Please feel free to ask any questions about the rules that you may have. I have the rules here.
