Wherever you are (and thinking especially of those facing bad winter conditions like in North America currently or facing invasion and war like in Ukraine or continued drought in East Africa) hope you keep safe and warm, and a full tummy, and that your Baboushka or Santa brings you some cheer on Christmas Day. Peace (but not at any price) for those in war torn areas.
Merry Christmas to all, CarlL

Yes I sometimes moan it is a bit cold in house and cant find my bed socks, god how old am I getting. However as long as my family dosent feel the need to cram into a dinghy and risk death crossing a shipping lane to seek a better life I really dont feel I should moan too much.
Here's to a great Christmas break and a better 2023 for the world.
Of course happy gaming all

Agree with all thoses sentiments.
Lets also remember those in our own society who sleep rough, who have fallen through net, are down and out with very little hope.
I know of a wonderful Salvation Army lady who, with other volunteers is providing a Christmas meal for 60 0f those people on the streets, regardless of race, skin colour or creed.
Not just at Christmas but through out the year she is arranging the giving of food, shelter, warm showers and cloth washing facilaties so that dignity can remain.
Most of us will hopefully never be without the bare essientials, because when they are gone the only thing left is hope and that hope has to be kindled by kindness, understanding and love, because if hope dies, so does mankind.
I believe that the greatest enemy of mankind is ignorance of the plight of those we see around us everyday. Many fall by bad desisions, poor choices or fall victim of that feeling of being inadequate, not able to cope and then turn to alcohol or drugs to dull the pain.
We cannot stop the horrors of the world but we can identify with a fellow human being, a kind word, offer of help, or a listening ear may just make a small difference, a glimmer of hope,.
As the Jewish saying goes, "Save one life, and you save the entire world"
Let us all have a joyous, peaceful and Happy Christmas, and should we chance to see a fellow human in distress, let us remember, there, but for the grace of God goes each and everyone of us.
