Hi,
as i didn't find a post on that on the board,
what different tournament system are used? scoring system, managing players...
i found somes :
- ACT/NSW Scoring Standard (Australia?) :
Win --> 8 points (flat score)
Loss --> 1 point + 1 per element killed (max 3) + 1 point for killing a general + 1 point for capturing a camp
Draw --> 1 per element killed (max 3) + 1 point for killing a general + 1 point for capturing a camp
- NASAMW scoring system (USA) : Winner gets 20 points - what they lose + what they kill.
Loser gets only what they kill.
(edit thanks Tony!) and for a Draw (a unfinished game is a draw, even if one of the player have an advantage), each player get only what they kill.
- DBA Midland Open Tournament (UK) :
"The scoring system is 4 points for a win (standard DBA victory conditions) and 0 points for a loss or a draw.
In addition, you will get 1 point (whether you win, draw or lose) for any enemy element killed including those that don’t normally count for victory such as Scythed Chariots and Hordes.
You will also get a point for enemy camps, cities and forts taken.
Ties will be determined by taking into account the sum of opponents’ scores.
There will also be a prize for the player who achieves the most with a weaker army.
This will be determined by dividing the overall final score by the basic combined combat factors of his/her army.
So, if you have an all blade army (unlikely I know), your total combined combat factors will be 12x(5+3)=96.
An army of cavalry will be 12x(3+3)=72 etc".
- The Northern Cup :
very similar system to the Midlands Open :
You get 1 point for a loss, instead of 0, plus elements destroyed.
A draw remains at 0 plus elements destroyed.
- ZBB French tournaments :
5 pts for a victory, 3 pts for a winning draw, 2 pts for a draw or loosing draw, 1 pt for a loss, 0 pt if the player wasn't present.
Players tied on points will be seperated firstly on number of games won, then, number of units lost, number of generals lost, number of enemy units destroyed, number of enemy generals killed, number of camps taken.
- Sopodo 4210 (there are many other scoring 410, 310...)
4 pts for a victory, 2 pts for a winning draw, 1 pts for a draw, 0 pt for a loss.
- Stevie one :
An outright victory is worth 5 points, no matter how many ‘element equivalents’ are destroyed. (the winner doesn't add pts for destroyed element)
Everyone else gets 1 point for each ‘element equivalent’ they destroy or capture.
- Jim one : (very near of my Sopodo 4210! )
3pts for a win, 2pts for a "near" win (for you stevie), 1pt for a draw, 0pts for a loss.
If time runs out, the player leading is declared the "near" winner (eg 3-1, 3-2, 1-0 etc) otherwise it's a draw.
Players tied on points will be seperated firstly on the head-to-head results, then on the difference of elements killed v elements lost.
- Ulm (Germany) Chariots War :
Tournament Conditions/Victory Points:
- Big Victory: 20 points for a victory as per rules
- Small Victory: 15 points = Game time over and more elements than the opponent knocked out (but no win)
- Tie: 10 points = Game time over and both players have equal number of dead elements
- Small defeat: 5 points = Game time over and you have fewer elements than the opponent knocked out (but not defeated)
- Defeat: 0 points = If you lose
Blood Points (adapted to DBA 3.0): a maximum of 25 blood points can be achieved per game (in addition to the victory points) :
Why do we need "blood points" ? To determine a winner in case of a tie :-)
- Sickle chariots, hordes, camp followers, denizens (town dwellers) don't count towards casualties, so they don't count for blood points.
- The first double-based element counts as 10 blood points.
- Each other eliminated element is worth 5 blood points.
- A general element counts 5 additional blood points.
- A plundered camp is worth 5 blood points.
- We only allow the BUA types Hamlet (Village / Hamlet / Rough Going) in the tournament and Edifice (Ruin / Bad Going).
Occupying these terrains gives no victory or blood points
Example:
The winner of a game (4 vs.3) gets 20 points for victory and 20 points for knocked elements = 40 victory point points.
The loser of the game gets 0 points, but 15 for the eliminated enemy elements = 15 victory points for the loser)
please feel free to add others and explain it and correct things if i miss something!
