Hi,
I am doing the Battle of Cannae scenario out of Great Battles of History for DBA V3 and I have struck a problem on which I would be grateful for some sage advice.
The scenario rules require the Romans to advance as a large group till they contact the Carthaginian line. This means the Roman group containing blades stacked 4 bases deep enters the Carthaginian elements threat zone.
My query is can I split this Roman group up while it is in the Threat Zone and back the last two bases of Blades out? The first two rows of bases would appear to be stuck but I am unsure about the third and forth rows.
Thanks
Brian

Thanks Brian brianh, The Roman Plan requires the first pip for each command be used to move the “central heavy infantry block” a full move toward the Carthaginian infantry line. The restriction is lifted the turn after contact with the front lines. Presumably, any repositioning of the third and fourth rank of Roman blade could take place once the restriction has been lifted. Entering the Carthaginian threat zone would not fulfil this, but close combat would.
