Hi
Does anyone know of any manufacturer that sells figures suitable for the Early Egyptian I/2 Lit General?
Have looked at Museum, Essex and Magister Militum but they don't seem to do anything appropriate.
Thanks

If it was me I would use Essex Miniatures BS12 (Pharaoh on a mule) and put some of the Essex Miniatures BS19 figures (standards) on the same stand along with some heavy infantry on each corner so it look like he is well protected. Check out the Essex site for pictures since I can't post them directly.
This is the route I going with my Kontstainian Byzantine army, except it will be the emperor instead of the pharaoh.

For my OKE Lit Gen element, I used Eureka Miniatures' Mound Builder Chief on Litter with four bearers as the basis of my model. Looks as if I actually used two such models so I could have eight dudes hauling Mr. Pharaoh around. I converted the MB Sun King into more of a seated position and fitted him out with Egyptian get-up. (Dunno why he has such a big microphone, though.) The rest of the figures are all Essex.

Thanks all for the suggestions.
Tony - I had seen Essex's Pharaoh on a mule but thought if the General is supposed to be 'Lit' maybe I should have him on a litter, (though not sure if I'm being too literal??!!
Timurilank - Thanks, but my scratch building skills aren't that brilliant and the demonworld figure looks to be a major undertaking, whilst the postage cost for one pack from Khurasan to the UK probably makes that a bit too costly.
So I think I'll go with Paul's suggestion of the Eureka model and try and make him look more Egyptian.
Thanks everyone again for the ideas.

Thanks for the offer and idea but I put the order in with Eureka yesterday so we'll see what can be done to make it look Egyptian when it arrives!
