I am having a senior moment and perusal of the the rules has not enlightened m.
If and element of fast foot Warband have rear support in combat and the result is a recoil against the Warband do they recoil or is the front element destroyed?
Am I correct in thinking that if a rear supported element such as warband or spear are destroyed as a cpmbat result both the elements are destroyed?
I have played these wargame rules for donkeys years and now my brain has gone numb!

As far as I am aware
If Warband recoiled then rear support also recoils, if hard flanked both die. Spear are side support so recoil won't matter.
If LH are forced to flee and have a rear support the front one dies as it cant start its flee move.
Stand ready to be shot down of course.

Baldie is correct, Cromwell. I think you may be confusing v3 and v2.2. In 2.2, elements which provided a +1 as rear support were destroyed if the front one was. Elements providing +3 as rear support (i.e. pikes) weren't.

Thanks guys! Yes I was getting confused. Happens at my age. In fact at my age just waking up in the morning is a good result!
