A Column has little actual game meaning but it is definitely a one Element wide group of any length. Keep in mind that a Recoiling Element can only Push Back 1 Element. So if your column is 3 or more Elements deep and the lead Element gets a Recoil result, it is Destroyed instead. A change I finally got Phil to accept to avoid the un-historical flying column formation.
