W W Here we have x8 bows. They want to shoot at psiloi which are partially in woods. Can they? Are there any penalties?

W W Here the psiloi are in woods but the x8 bows are not. The bows still lose their +1 modifier for being x8 instead of x4 in CC in GG, right?

If any part of the Ps is within 1/2BW of edge then they are a eligible target.
No penalties.
If 8Bw are in CC and are in GG then they still get the +1.

Double Based Elements gain a +1 only if in close combat against foot, never for shooting. An 8Bw element which is entirely in good going gets the +1, close combat only, against any foot, regardless of the going that the enemy foot are in. An 8Bw shooting gets no such bonus. Hope this helps.... Correct, which is why you should never get into a shooting war with regular Bw/Cb/Lb when you have a 8Bw/Cb/Lb. They both shoot as a +2 (which is rather susceptible to be killed) but the first 8Bw/Cb/Lb counts as TWO elements killed. |
