(1) These rules are from the 1990s; a DBx me-too look alike for 25 elements. Is anyone still playing them? .
(2) It would seem there is more than one version; does anyone know the final version or have appropriate errata to plumb to the bottom of the rules. [e.g. one version has a +1 for the first round on initiating melee while another does not have that but DOES give a +1 on follow up].

Is that this one: www.blackhat.co.uk/product/maximilian-rules/These are marked as version 2.0 and I think predate 2007 but seem to be the ones on the market right now. They have +1 for initiating combat. The P&SS version has +1 for following up. It seems to be an either/or case but I do not know and am trying to probe the issue to the bottom!

I have had another look. They are dated 2007 at the front page inside the book. Also they have a +1 for each round of following up in a melee AND +1 for initiating combat in first round only. Hope this helps.

There seems to have been, or at least I have identified so far:
(1) Pike & Shot Society issue
(2) 1995 Version
(3) Version 2.0
Interesting you can date your 2007 copy and as version two but it is not clear if that is 2.0 or another version prior to 2.0 … or subsequent to it!
(1) Has the P&SS details clearly stated on the cover. (2) For a cover has an armoured knight on an armoured horse horseback drawn riding from right to left; my memory tells me it was on yellow paper but I may remember that wrong. (3) Is on white paper and has a painting reproduction of an armoured knight on an unarmoured white horse with raised helm and red surcoat riding towards the viewer and in the middle of combat. [Searching the copy available to me, I did not locate a date!] I am guessing it is this one and I am unobservant and failed to find a date.
Can you confirm if the cover is as described? As Black Hat still do 2.0 and it is 2.0 at Wargamers Vault I am guessing that is the latest and definitive copy.

My copy is as per the one shown on the Blackhat website. There is also something in the intro pages about him updating the rules. I am pretty sure the Blackhat one is the latest.
