If a spear is flanked on both sides does it get +1 from both making it a 6 in combat.
Also if the center unit is in base to base frontal combat is the enemy -2 for both flanks overlapped?
TY in advance, RB

Spear gets +1 support if one or both flanks have support and both are in good going. So +1 if one flank supported and still just +1 if both flanks are supported.

TY in advance, RB I assume you mean this -- If a spear has flank support on both sides does it get +1 from both making it a 6 in combat. No, consider the rule "Some “Solid” elements add +1 when in frontal close combat in good going against enemy foot if at least one flank edge is in mutual side edge and mutual front corner contact with a friendly element." Also if the center element is in base to base frontal combat is the enemy -2 for both flanks overlapped? yes
