I know that But my point still stands - if PB wanted to exempt camps & their occupiers from the restrictions, that would've been a good place for it. Regards, j But equally he may have thought that deployment area was, self-evidently, the area where troops could be deployed. Not all troops, but at least some.

Re placement of a camp, page 7 para 7, second sentence says "It must be in good going (except plough) on the rear edge of its side's deployment area or on a waterway or beach, ....... "
The important word here is 'or'. Therefore to my mind a camp can be placed outside its deployment area if it's on a beach or waterway.
Or am I missing something?

The FAQ clarifies things a little by saying the following:- “The camp must be either on the rear edge of the player's deployment area or on a waterway or beach that defines that rear edge.” (There is a link to the latest FAQ at the bottom of this post if you don’t already have it).So basically... * a Camp must be in your deployment area and touching a table rear edge... * but if you deploy with a Waterway behind you, your camp cannot touch the table rear edge, so in that situation the Waterway becomes a substitute for the table rear edge, and your Camp must instead be placed inside your deployment area touching the Waterway that is acting as the table rear edge. I hope that makes everything clear.
