Just a quick silly question... ...how do you handle 6Cv?
If they don’t have the room to hard flank someone, do you say tough, they can’t do it (like I do). Or do you shuffle the lines a bit to squeeze them in?

But if the 6Cv is contacted on it's flank and has to turn, then elements are moved to make room for the compulsory turn.

The theme is Armies and Enemies of the Sassanids in the 6th Century AD. Classic Lindon! We all know there will be at least one Sassanid then.
Otherwise, looking interesting, with enough variety methink. Cool!

Bill,
A question of clarification.
Are permitted allies only from the list or any available in the period 501-600 AD?
Also (probably already clarified somewhere) II/69c Sassanid Persian lists II/80 as Allies - is this both II/80b&d Sabir & Other Huns?
Otherwise that list is getting me thinking.

Duncan Head pointed out one other potential army for this theme, over on the Society of Ancients forum:- “ It should also, surely, allow non-nomad Arabs, Yemenis at least, and Aksumites. See for instance en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sasanian_reconquest_of_Yemen “ Looks like Yemeni’s II/23c have Sassanids as enemies, but not vice versa.

We had to try and decide which Hun sublist(s) were intended as allies of the Sassanids in order to decide which to allow as permitted armies, so in this case, either b or d options can be used as the Sassanid ally.

Unfortunately, I won't see Lindon for another month to discuss changes, by which time it would really be too late to make the change. A pity, as I would have liked the opportunity to include the City Arabs.
