Now that is some classy work!
I have more Essex figures than any other manufacturer, but at times I start to think the seem a bit old and tired. A good reminder of what a quality effort can make of a simple but well sculpted figure.
Thanks!

Basing my Celts is nearly finished. That was a lot of 15mm stuff. Already begun to work on the overhaul of my Later Carthaginian, but that is going to be a slow project.
For a change of pace, I have re-started working on my Dwarven force for the Kings of War game. They could, of course, also be used for 28mm HotT, if the need arises.

After a long holiday from painting due to the changes in work location I had a marathon session over the last two days while on leave.
Yesterday we I finished off 4xPs and 1x3Bw for my Blemmye - this is one more army now up to DBA3 code 2x4Pk, 1x4Bw, 1xCv for my Yi Dynasty Koreans 1x7Hd, 2xLH for my Ming Chinese 1x6Cv for my Early Samurai
As I am currently bringing my Rise of Islam campaign set up to code for next year's campaign I have shuffled some elements from the Blemmye and Christian Nubians off to the boneyard as they are no longer required in DBA3.
These have subsequently become 2x3Wb and 1xPs for my Abbysinian - once I finish off another Ps this army will also be up to code.
Cheers

15mm Turkish artillery crew from Essex miniatures for my Ottoman DBA army. A couple of those poses are going to look good added to the army's camp base.

When I can see the whites of their eyes I know it's time to go back to boardgames.

A major round of basing took place between Friday and this morning - in doing so I have now put together the start of a Zanj Revolt army from cast off Fatimid (8Bw) and Christian Nubian (3Wb) along with a few other odds and sods from the boneyard.
Thus far the Zanj have 3x4Bd, 2xPs, 2x3Bw, 1x5Hd.
In addition I took a spare Christian Nubian Ps and added it to the Abbysinian & Horn of Africa to bring this army up to full Purple Compliance
Cheers

They're available locally from Mick's Metal Models.

Thanks Peter, I will grab some more of them at Cancon when I next see Mick I have a significant load of my Rise of Islam campaign needing attention as that is what we plan to play next year. The big task is to get the significantly changed Christian Nubians up to code - I need 3x4Bw, 3x4Bd and 3x4Ax along with some LCm and 3Kn - all previously not in evidence in the original army. The Christian Nubians were a personal favourite of mine, and were part of Team South Sudan (with the Blemmye) that won me the World Championships in MMXIII. The style of the army has changed completely and I will have to see how it affects my ability to run them. The Zanj however will be just a bit of fun cheers

I've completed all of the foot elements for my Late Swiss army. Just awaiting the arrival of the heavy mounted figures. All castings are by Legio Heroica.
Cheers,
