I've started work the Pyrrhic forces. I'm going to do the a and b versions, though without the 4Wb option. First up will be the 4xPs and 1x3Ax elements. I've cleaned them up and added javelins. The figures are glued to painting nails. I hope to spray undercoat them tomorrow. Cheers, Figures are undercoated and I hope to start applying colour tomorrow. Cheers, Yesterday I painted, using Tony Aguilar's technique for the first time, the figures for the 3Ax element of the b list for the Pyrrhic forces. All being well I'll move on to the figues for the 4xPs. Cheers,

Nice work on those Swiss Roland and that Russian general is awesome Martin.
So, over the last couple of days I finished painting and glued to bases 11 more elements of Frankish WB. 6 elements of mixed OG15 FR02 and FR03 and 5 elements of Mike's Models Franks with franciscas - 4 WB and one element of 3WB. Hopefully down the road I can acquire at least one more of the Mike's to bring the 3WB up to 'strength.'
Also painted and glued to bases 13 Asgard/Viking Forge MB-11 Nubian archers - based as 3x3BW and 2xPS. These can either add to the existing OG15 BBDBA Nubian army to allow for options in list building or play with the various Egyptians as desired. As the kilts on the figures include tails they were painted with leopard, cheetah, or giraffe patterns.

Nice shields and the ground work really set the figures off.

At the start of the week I put together an Asiatic Early Successor (Eumenes) army from the figures I obtained from Bern's Estate. These are pre-painted (and look better than the efforts of 15 year old me that are also in the stock) so having soaked them off their old bases and stuck them down on new bases I just need to reflock them. There is a nearly complete Early Imperial Roman as the next cab off the rank from the vast stock I obtained. I may well get to build my Year of Four Emperor's campaign set without having to paint Romans Cheers

Finished the last of the Egyptians, now on to a Rus army. Lots and lots of spearmen! A shout out to Ian Kay at Irregular for replacing the Rus army lost in the post due to C19. Especially as he can't reclaim the money from the Post Office due to changes caused by the pandemic.

One more command has been restored to represent the Tudor English. Next, flags (5x) will be added later today and by the weekend photos should be posted to the blog.

This Tudor collection is modelled after the army led by the Earl of Surrey at Flodden. Few elements have the white and green Tudor livery with the remainder of foot are clad non-uniform. The only element to be seen mounted are the Borderers (LH) as the Earl fights on foot.
