Finished the 15mm Paekche Korean and stuck them to the 2mm thick MDF bases. Would continue with the Maya but have run out of the bases! Suppose I could use the time to sort some bases out with grass etc.

keep getting distracted from finishing the last few optional stands for my WotR Yorkists. Latest distraction is I painted a stand of Genoese crossbows just because I happened to print up a nice banner for the House of Grimaldi

Just completed a Renaissance army of 53 elements and now ready for ancients.
Feeling inspired to continue converting more Sudanese to another army – the Andalusians. These will have similar head coverings as the Zanj and half will require shields to be made from Milliput.
The Berber types will have adapted local fashions and therefore have caps in addition to turbans and legging. Cavalry saddlecloths will also need lengthening.
This will be two commands of Andalusian and set during the 11th century they will more than likely be fighting amongst themselves than together.

Really nice Paul, I too have some of those Mirliton crusader period infantry but use them for Italy in the "Barbarossa" period. The figures are just so well formed with the correct helmet and eye socket shapes making them look almost like the manuscript illuminations of the time.

Yup, they're really nice sculpts and, mixed with the Donnington LH, Ax and Cv I'm currently painting, they should make for a pretty bunch when done P.

Decided to break a little from my army painting plan. Had planned to finish my later Swiss Confederates. Instead I curated out the models required last night for a Early Swiss Eidgenossen, circa the Battle of Sempach. Am priming them up this morning. I had planned to do this army at a later date but had a sudden urge to do a 6Bd army.

Geoff Prep for painting complete. Managed to, in a day, get all the models selected, cleaned, a couple of dozen converted with head and weapons swaps, mounted on priming bases and finally primed. IV/41 Early Swiss arrayed for the Battle of Sempach are now ready to be painted in earnest. Time for some food, a bike ride and return to the bench

Just got armies for II/37 Parthians, II/69a Sassanid Persians, IV/30 Teutonic Orders, IV/82a French Ordonnance, and IV/83a War of the Roses/Tudor. For a man who isn't fond of painting horses, I sure have a lot of them to paint.

Dont forget as my club mate says there is no such thing as a brown horse. This has resulted in our entire club calling them brown as often as possible in any conversation about horse colouration.
