As a die hard Bolshevik I found it hard to take on the task of playing Ze Germans... Wait, what? Good old Joe, he was a funny guy.

Good old Joe, he was a funny guy. If you haven't as yet, you should check out "The Death of Stalin". My reactions during the movie ranged from being appalled through to ROTFLOL! Cheers,

3 elements of PS for the Feudal Spanish - two of the Essex MID-109 javelinmen and one of MID-108 slingers.
Also 3 elements of SP dor the Spanish - one of MID-85s and two of the MID-107 Hermandad Militia painted generically as the 'c' army is a bit early for the 'official' Hermandads (besides, the Essex website example isn't painted per the actual Hermandad uniform).
Additionally, a pair of Asgard/VF MR-02 handgunners for another PS for the Burgundians.
P.S. Paul, lost the link, but a while back when working on my Han, I found a site that noted that the lac bug (think shellac) also produces dyes in various shades from orange thru red to brownish. That (for me at least) explained the prevalence of orange in the early Han clothing.

Had painted up 8 of an older Essex NA-12 Dismounted knight (Norman), but as the figures were all drawing swords decided to get some more of the code as they are more 'animated' to mix in with them. Got them while back and have been working them through the queue. Semi-backburnered as one of the new figures had a damaged sword which needs replacement.
At any rate, decided to go ahead and finish painting the others, so 3 (and 3/4s) elements of BD for Normans. Bringing me a bit closer to having 'all options' for them.
A bit disappointed though, the older figures are half a head taller and 'bulkier' - reverse 'scale creep...'

Continuing to plough through the Early Anglo-Saxon warband. 3 of the 11 are complete, 2 more being based up today and 2 more with undercoat on.

Abbasid cavalry are done. Flags will be added to a number of foot and mounted elements which leaves four elements to do. The original elements of 3Bd were commandeered for one of the three completed armies. A solution was found as ordering new figures was not a solution.
A dozen Fuzzy Wuzzies were found and have completed their makeover as Zanj; broad leaf sword is now a saif, shield bose is less prominent, and of course their hair has been remodelled to a skull cap. A cloth wrapping will be added using Milliput do give them an Arabized look.

Salutations, Baldie !
The coins under elements in some of the pictures = USA 25-cent pieces = quarter-dollars, or 'quarters'. Exactly 25mm diameter, bit less than 1 inch, commonly used in pictures to give indication of scale. Also bad pun.
Hope y'all are staying healthy and happy.
