Trying to assimilate the new Draw Outcomes for Close Combat.
Why are 4Kn Recoiled in a Draw by 3Kn?

They were often shield-less and charged at a trot rather than at a gallop. This in Phil's eyes gave them a disadvantage when fighting other knights. This is made up by the fact that they don't pursue.

You could also look at it as the 3Kn being more lively/active/aggressive, and the 4Kn being a bit more cumbersome/stodgy/static/passive and inclined to lose a straight fight as a result (?), if that’s easier to get the ‘feel’ of the drawn combat result (?).
