Is it better to attack a Camp with Mounted?
It looks like Camp Followers get ±0 vs mtd but +2 vs foot, so e.g.
Ps would be CF2 vs 2+2=4 for the Camp Followers whereas LH would be CF2 vs 0+2=2 for the Camp Followers & Cv would be CF3 vs 0+2=2 for the Camp Followers
Or am I missing something?
Regards,
j

Hi j.
what you are missing is the firs sentence of the Close combat against a city or fort paragraph (p10, Para 9 in the Hardcover version)
It says "Troops assaulting or defending these use their combat factor against foot..."
So in your example above: Ps would be CF2 vs 2+2=4 for the Camp Followers whereas LH would be CF2 vs 2+2=4 for the Camp Followers & Cv would be CF3 vs 2+2=4 for the Camp Followers
I caught someone out on this some years ago at Cancon and they were less than pleased when their LH littoral landing was repulsed by my camp followers
Cheers

Happy to help j.
I knew of it but when push came to shove when the LH were in amongst it at my camp that critical time it took me a while to find the passage.
Cheers
