I have had a reply from Sue Laflin-Barker saying "it's now fixed", which I take to mean that the missing words have been restored to the text in the Lulu edition. (I'm afraid I wasn't aware of the omission from her own Start Ancient Wargaming when I e-mailed her.)
If anyone else spots any textual discrepancies, please let her know - and perhaps flag up the matter here as well.

Let's hope the one I ordered 48 hours ago has the updated text.

If not you can just cut out the text printed above and paste it into your version :-)

Let's hope the one I ordered 48 hours ago has the updated text. Despite only being dispatched on April 24 the version I received this morning contains the "uncorrected" FLEEING paragraph. Plus I noticed something strange with the diagrams. All the angled elements were distorted ie parallelograms not rectangles. Most peculiar. Is this the same as the hard copy?

I think the POD version has a been resized. If the percentage change in height & width differ it will distort the diagrams and be most noticable where the elements are angled. All the others will also be distorted but at least they will remain square.
On closer examination some of the new page footers look poor with no white space between the last line of text and the ruled line above the new page numbers.
All in all I'm very disappointed with such shoddy product.

A further thought: someone in touch with Sue Barker should inform her of these flaws so she can correct her mistakes. Thanks.
