Hi all,
I invoke the hive mind to see if anyone is familiar with this code:
Essex 15mm Large pavise (MFPE7)
Does anyone know what's the length, more or less, of this pavise? Judging from the four shooting windows and the price I guess it's about an element width long, but I'd want some confirmation.
I'm thinking of using it for Russian gulyay gorod ("moving city") units for the 13th century. There is no clear consensus on how these would look so early (they are better documented for the Renaissance Muscovite armies), so I opted for a platform-style wagon carrying pavises on it, which would be deployed in position; the WWg element for DBA would then have one or two pavises deployed up front, with archers behind them, and the (partially unloaded) wagon positioned at the rear.
Thanks in advance.

For the record (having just yesterday happened across my pack of MFPE7s), they are 25mm wide.
At that I am not quite sure how I will be using them...

Ouch - a bit short. I imagine two of them, at a slight angle, could be used to provide a "wedge" front... but I think I'll look into the Alternative Armies palisade instead.

Here's how my friend, Eric Donaldson, modeled his Gulay Gorod WWg elements for his PM-Russians. I know the figures are 15mm QR Miniatures<iframe width="21.480000000000018" height="13.740000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 21.480000000000018px; height: 13.740000000000009px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 5px; top: 37px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_97242288" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="21.480000000000018" height="13.740000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 21.48px; height: 13.74px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1006px; top: 37px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_49814709" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="21.480000000000018" height="13.740000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 21.48px; height: 13.74px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 5px; top: 659px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_8486466" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="21.480000000000018" height="13.740000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 21.48px; height: 13.74px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1006px; top: 659px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_94650786" scrolling="no"></iframe> . Will defer to Eric on whether the pavise / walking fort pieces are also from QR.

Yes, all the figures, GG and flags are from QR. Really nice figures to paint. The only glitch in that basing method (everybody facing forward) is that I sometimes forget that as WWg then can fire in all directions..... but that's just me being old and forgetful.

I hadn't seen good pictures of their minis - and although I've already built the armies from their ranges that I could be interested in with minis from other miniatures, I'll keep it in mind for future projects.

I think both are from MinifigsAnd the Essex 15mm Pavises: Essex Large
Essex Small If it were me, I'd use the Minifigs for earlier Hussites, Germans, Poles etc. and the Small Essex for Later Poles and Muscovites. ...could be right. The green one
