Very cool, reminds me of the Peter Gilder Televised series from the 70's in the UK. I think it was called Battleground.

Funny but I was just remembering watching this series the other day....I dont think much happened during the programme about the Battle of Chalons.

Was there not a similar idea done in the late 1990's or early 2000's? A group of amateur historians and generals replayed historical battles as a wargame format, which if I remember was done via computer which looked very similar in style to the Total War seies of computer games. Cannot for the life of me remember the title.

Cromwell, I think you mean Time Commanders (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Commanders) there was a brief revival in 2016. I remember my wargaming buddies in the UK trying to sneak in as a team. Sadly I don't think it took off, so was killed pretty quickly!
