I saw in the rules the size of the battleground can vary (IIRC, 24" - 32" for 15mm).
Is there a consensus / official / tournament standard size? I'd imagine that playing at the minimum vs. maximum size favors certain armies over others.

Yes, please check out that post linked above.
With that said I have never seen/heard of anyone playing on any other sizes other than 24" or 30".

Hi Tony,
I have a 67cmm×67cm (27'x27') piece of practice putting green that I am too lazy to cut up further after squaring it off!
Cheers

At CANCON the size used is 70cm×70cm, though this is not the norm. Most Australian east coast tournaments use 60cm×60cm maps.
Cheers,

I ran the NICT with Defender choice between 24/30 - and would like feedback on this concept.
I always run 25s on 4X4 but we all like the "big battle" feel of a wide open board. The world does not actually have board edges.

It does allow for 24/27/30 inch board for more variety. Of course, being obsessive, eventually I'll need one of each for all the climatic regions. (Currently working on various Bloodbowl pitches. Astrogranite, ice and wooden so far. Stone and grass to go). Then back to Ancients. 'Sigh'. It never ends... (that's a quote from my wife) Jim
