I just purchased the rules available on Amazon. I'm struggling some with the wording and understanding what everything means. I know the "purple" book has diagrams that better illustrate the rules, but I couldn't easily find that for purchase.
Is there a resource available where I can see just the diagrams to better understand these rules?
Thanks!

Salutations, J2KLBS, and welcome to this confabulation !
There are a horde of us who have 'struggled some with the wording', good company you are in.
The 'purple book' has 16 pages of diagrams. 'Twould not be impossible to scan and zap you a copy, if you've already paid for the Barkers' other volume...
Of course, if you dwelt around NYC or North Jersey, would invite you to Maplewood Hobby for 'demonstration game'
Hope to be hearing from you again !

Also try viewing the videos of DBA 3.0 being played on YouTube. Tony Aguilar does many of these and I find he and Mitch Harbach do really well explaining the rules as they crop up in play.

Thanks so much guys! I love the energy and responsiveness of this community!
I did watch some of Tony & Mitch's videos and that helped me quite a bit.
I've read the following rule under "Distant Shooting" and can't quite make it out. If anyone could show me a picture or explain it in plain speech I would be much appreciative.
Under "Target Edge" --> "Shooting is blocked if uncrossed lines joining the ends of the shooting and target edges have part of any element between them."

J2:
I put some of the Knights & Knaves shooting diagrams in D3H2 - which is the fantasy version of DBA 3.0. I also use a bit more white space excetra to help make the rules clear.
D3H2 is a free supplement to anyone who has bought a copy of DBA 3.0. It may help with these issues. email me if you want a copy.

I just fixed the D3H2 text to solve the great shooting priority controversy in the other thread - if you've been following along. Though D3H2 must slave to Phil's methods I sometimes tweek the text in line with the latest FAQ for DBA 3.0.
