Wow! They're muscle bound! Lot's of good beef in Mesopotamia I guess from the Ox on the standard.
Seriously, they look quite nice and I'm sure they'll paint up a treat! But I'm committed to the Eureka release so not for me...unless they mix well...then maybe the officer...ok maybe more!
Gee, I need help with this addiction to miniatures!
Cheers
Jim

Nice figures. They even look like 28mm.

Are those 15mm? I have not ordered from Museum in years and can't seem to find the answer on their website.

£3.00 for a pack of 8 presume they are 15mm Not my cup of tea as far as forces go but they look great.

The "15" in the catalog codes, e.g. SKU#: 15/SUM14, certainly implies that this is billed as a 15mm range. The pictures of them are just amazing. But I fear that maybe they are incompatible, 20mm figures.
If they really are 15's (you know, compatible with most other ranges), I'll find some excuse to buy and paint them, maybe as I/12 Sumerian Successors? But, if they're grossly over-sized, like many Xyston ranges, then never mind. -- I'll likely send off for some samples. But, first, who out there has seen them? The world wonders.

It's worth placing an order for the pack donkeys alone! A string of good pack donkeys are almost a universal camp element.

Is it my imagination, or do these look more like computer generated images than photographs (??). Something looks very different to regular website figure pics.

I clicked on the website, and there seems a huge difference in quality between this range and all of the others I sampled. Admittedly these seem to come with add ons like "DBA 1.1 armies" etc, so I suppose there is about a quarter century of improvements to be had, but even so it seems a bit odd. Has anybody bought them yet? Scott

Thanks. Very nice they look too. Although I think the comparison with the website pictures lends some support to Martin's suggestion.

Scale Creep? 18-20mm figures? Anyone see a comparison photo?

Here is a comparison photo showing the relative size of some of the new Eureka brand 15mm Sumerians alongside some other figures. From left to right: Museum Sumerian Slinger Eureka Sumerian Slingers (x 2) Old Glory 15mm New Kingdom Egyptian archer. The Eureka and Old Glory figures look fine next to one another. The heights, build, and sculpting style are all compatible. The Museum figures are highly detailed but considerably taller and with a bulkier build.

Thanks for the picture Texus! Very helpful. I am painting up the Eureka Sumerians now (great figures BTW). I'd say they are just a fraction taller than Essex and about the same shorter than Legio Heroica. But it takes a pretty close up inspection to notice. They would look fine on the table together. The Museum? Not so much IMO.

Yes, thank you, Texus, for posting those side-by-side, comparison photos. Really helps. Dave at Museum Miniatures seems like a reputable guy. How can he or anyone in good conscious advertise those behemoths as "15mm"? Ridiculous... That's not scale-creep; that's a paradigm shift! Too bad...they looked so good in those photos. But any new Sumerians I buy will be from Eureka, not Museum's.
